Swaim House
Situated on the east side of Main Street in downtown Chapel Hill, the Swaim House is the oldest brick structure in Chapel Hill. Built in the 1840's, it displays characteristics of the Federal period influence.

Nathan Bedford Forrest Monument
A monument honoring this Confederate general stands in Chapel Hill off the Main Street.

Chapel Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church
This beautiful church was placed on the National Register for Historic Places in 1984. The church was organized in 1840 under the name of Pleasant Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Forrest's Boyhood Home
Nathan Bedford Forrest was born in a cabin near Caney Spring. The house is significant architecturally, being a substantial log and frame building typical of early 19th century style in Tennessee.

Wilhoite Mill
This mill was erected in 1812. Operating as a grist and saw mill, the business consisted of a three story log inn and a bridge which was connected to the Fishing Ford Road. This road was used by Andrew Jackson on the way to the Creek Wars.
All mills in the county were of great importance to both sides during the Civil War as a potential source of supplies. A few gears and a large axle are the only reminders left.

Henry Horton State Park
Completed in 1962, Henry Horton State Park was a dream of another Marshall County Governor, Buford Ellington (whose home still stands in Verona) and his Commissioner of Conservation, Brents McBridge. The park comprising 1140 acres is located on the estate of the late Governor Henry Horton the 36th governor of the state. Henry Horton is Tennessee's 21st State Park and the pride of all Marshall Countians.

Verona Methodist Church
Established in the 1840s, this church contains the bell from the old Cave Spring Church. The late Governor Buford Eillington was a member and taught the men's Bible class.

Berlin Methodist Church
Organized in 1857, on the National Historic Register. Missionary Baptist s existed at Rich Creek, Stephen's Grove and Chapel Hill prior to the Civil War. Fifth Avenue First Baptist Church, whose pastor Rev. W.P. Johnson served for over 38 consecutive years has set a pastoral record in the area.
